Alongside analyst and Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins ahead of their game against the Thunder, Rathbun appeared to be in distress mid-conversation before he was taken to the back of State Farm Arena where he was treated by medical staff.

Bally Sports released a statement, confirming that Rathbun “lost consciousness” before being taken to Emory Midtown for further evaluation.

“Prior to tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, play-by-play announcer Bob Rathbun briefly lost consciousness on the court," the statement read.

“Emergency medical professionals on-site quickly treated Rathbun for dehydration. He is stable, responsive and heading to Emory Midtown for further evaluation.”

According to Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Lauren L. Williams, Rathbun was treated at the arena for dehydration, before being taken to the hospital.

Tuesday afternoon, Bally Sports offered a positive update on Rathbun’s well-being, stating that he “is in great spirits”:
