Brought to life by a player going by the name Barian1998, the talented creator has managed to design an expansive and fully explorable recreation of Hogwarts Castle from Harry Potter. The level, which is supposedly still being worked on by the player, allows users to explore a number of iconic locations from the incredibly popular franchise, including the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s office, and the Gryffindor Common Room.

The level first spawns the player into Hogwarts’ courtyard, and from there, they are allowed to wander around the castle at their own leisure. Not only that, but they’re also given a number of options to change the setting to see Hogwarts in a different light, with the creator providing the option to switch the weather, time of day, and more. The player can also access the Marauder’s Map to navigate their journey through the castle and use the spell Lumos to light their way if it’s dark. Overall, it seems the recreation is filled with attention to detail and passion, once again showing the potential Dreams’ set of tools have to design expansive worlds.
Alongside Barian’s incredible Hogwarts tour, other players have also shown off some incredible uses of the Dreams’ toolkit to design outstanding creations. One player put together a shockingly authentic version of Fallout 4 complete with its distinct title screen, while another created a The Last of Us 2 level that utilizes PlayStation 1 era graphics. Evidently Dreams is already becoming a home for some of the most creative minds in gaming today, and if it continues to cultivate these sensational levels and art pieces, there’s no doubt it will become a staple of the PlayStation’s lineup for years to come.
Things will seemingly only get better for the revolutionary platform as well, with Media Molecule hinting that PlayStation VR support could be the next step in Dreams’ journey. With projects like Barian’s incredible Hogwarts tour in mind, there’s no denying that VR could really take the game to a whole new level, so here’s to hoping that it comes very soon.
Dreams is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
