The Shoot for the Stars event in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is a bit longer than usual for one reason or another. Instead of just lasting a week, it is a 10 day+ event, with eight days left at the time of this writing. Over the course of the event, players that earn all stars in their classes will get crests that can be cashed out for various rewards at different tiers.
Here is a full list of the rewards Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players can earn from the Shoot for the Stars event:
750 coins (15 crests) Cosmetic item (35 crests) 10 gems (70 crests) Cosmetic item (90 crests) Cosmetic item (120 crests)
Since this event is even longer than usual, it makes sense that the crest requirements are higher than what fans may be used to. Even so, some Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players may find the sheer number of crests required to unlock everything in the event rather daunting, but as long as they are regularly completing classes and taking advantage of three hour, five star story classes, they should still have enough time to do it.
On the bright side, this event should be able to avoid the Duelling Club controversy that came about last week. For the uninitiated, the Duelling Club in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has been criticized for a number of reasons, such as not giving players enough chances without having to spend gems, and for the latest iteration seemingly raising the difficulty to an absurd level. While it’s still unclear if Jam City actually did raise the difficulty level for the latest Duelling Club or not, there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence that points in that direction.
When Duelling Club comes back, hopefully Jam City takes some steps to appease fans who have been upset with the latest versions of the mode. In the meantime, Hogwarts Mystery enthusiasts still have over a week to try to unlock everything in the Shoot for the Stars event.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
