Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players who have managed to complete the Year 5 Chapter 3 story content and classes will be treated to Year 5 Chapter 4 immediately, meaning that they don’t have to wait a week for new story content like usual. It’s unclear if Jam City added this extra chapter as a way to make up for missing some weeks, or if it means that this Thursday won’t have new story content, but fans will find out in a few days.
In the meantime, Year 5 Chapter 4 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery sees players continue their adventure at Hogwarts, mainly focusing on Penny Haywood’s unlucky sister, who has found herself trapped in a magical portrait. The chapter also gives players the opportunity to meet one of the new Year 5 friends, Badeea Ali, who is an artistic Ravenclaw student.
Year 5 Chapter 4 is also notable for giving players a new flying lesson to complete. Flying lessons are arguably the most important classes in the game because the reward for completing them is an increase in maximum energy limit. Upon completing Year 5 Chapter 4’s flying lesson, players will be able to have a total of 37 energy bits, which should go a long way in helping them complete the game faster.
Players will also have the chance to complete a new Herbology class in Year 5 Chapter 4, and while it’s not quite as rewarding as the flying lesson, it’s still worth doing. Completing the Herbology Belladonna lesson for Year 5 Chapter 4 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery will net players a cool five gems, which is the primary in-game currency and is generally hard to come by.
Along with the two classes to complete and a six-part story quest, Year 5 Chapter 4 should keep Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players busy while they wait for Jam City to add even more new content to the game.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
